STUDENT SUPPLY LIST
GRADE 1

Please put your child's name on every item possible, including clothing (which may be left at school.) Loops sewn in the neck of coats and sweaters, which are to be hung up in the coat closet, are helpful. Check the lost and found frequently if you are missing items. Also, check your child's school supplies. Please bring all items pre-labeled on orientation day.

10 plastic folders with brads & side pockets (for: loose note book papers, homework papers, speed drills, storage, poetry, seatwork, reading words, homework assignments, Bible verses, and one extra)
Recommended Colors for folders:
2 Orange-Assignment folder/Homework papers & number families folder
1 Blue-Reading words
1 Red-Speed Drills
1 Red-Poetry
2 Yellow-Notebook paper, Seatwork curriculum
2 Green-Bible verses, Empty folder (to take home Friday’s papers)
1 Black-Storage for double stars, etc.
1 Color of your choice-Turned in to the teacher on Orientation Day w/student's name on it for year-end booklets

3 clear sheet protectors (with 3 holes punched)

One box of crayons 16 count in plastic box (small pencil boxes with slide out "drawers" from staples work well)

Small pair of scissors

4 oz. School glue
-4 packages of 3x5 cards (for making math fact cards. Please keep blank ones at home.)

A small Index card box (for storing homemade cards and transporting them to school)

A few Ziploc sandwich bags (for storing tissues in desk)
-One 12" ruler with both inches and metric measurements (Rulers with extra lines and pictures are not appropriate for math class)

Book Bag

Scotch Tape

2 Large Kleenex boxes

200 sheets or more loose-leaf notebook paper- WIDE-lined (No spiral tablets)

Plastic post-it page markers (3 packages, those shaped like arrows preferred)

Approximately 10 cards with envelopes. (for writing thank you or note cards)

-Athletic shoes for P.E. (Needed if student is wearing shoes inappropriate for P.E. This includes shoes that leave black marks on the gym floor. These shoes are also used for indoor recesses.)
-Girls should wear shorts under dresses on P.E. days. (Tue./Thurs.)
-We suggest children have their own water bottle to be brought
daily.
-Recommended: Soft cloth and eyeglass cleaner for students with glasses

-First Grade:
Resting Mat for after lunch. (Needed only until October.)
It can be a small blanket, beach towel or rug. Please label.

-Larger pencil boxes are not needed as most supplies are kept in an art box in another area of the room.
-
Large binders/Trapper Keepers are not encouraged due to limited desk space
